Preparation

This recipe has a relatively short preparation time. Once you have mashed the pork, getting everything in order will not take more than 30 minutes. So, let’s get started!

Pork with vegetables.

Previous steps

  • First, cut the pork fillets into long strips.
  • Next, prepare  a mixture in a deep bowl with the different kinds of pepper you have selected, the teriyaki sauce, the soy sauce and the sesame oil.
  • Add everything to the pork and let it marinate in the fridge overnight. If you need it more immediately, an hour will suffice.

    Let’s do it!

    • To prepare the vegetables,  cut the cabbage and  chives into very thin julienne strips. Broccoli can be cut into small branches, about the size of a bite. Reserve the vegetables in different containers.
    • Remove the pieces of pork from the container where it is mashing, but do not discard the broth. Drain the pieces and pat them dry with a paper towel.
    • Once this is done, preheat a little oil in a deep frying pan and sauté the pork over medium heat for a few minutes, until it is browned on the outside. When it is done, add the broth from the mash and let it cook until the liquid is reduced and thickened a little.
    • While you wait for it to reduce, proceed to sauté the vegetables. Heat oil in another large skillet and  add the broccoli, which has a longer cooking time. When it begins to brown, add the cabbage, chives and a splash of soy sauce.
    • Finally, stir frequently for five minutes, once this period has passed, remove the vegetables from the heat and prepare to plate.

Everything is ready to plate your teriyaki pork!

On a large plate, serve the meat garnished with a little of the sauce that is left in the pan. Accompany it with the vegetables, which should have a bright and intense color.

To finish, sprinkle everything with the sesame seeds and serve while your food is piping hot.

In addition to following the recipe that we have described step by step, you must bear in mind that you have to mix the ingredients of the mash well, until everything is very well integrated.

Remember that when the mash is reducing in the pan,  you must stir it to avoid burning the part that remains at the bottom.

On the other hand, you can prepare many recipes with teriyaki sauce. In fact, this sauce goes very well with chicken.

Making your own teriyaki sauce is not very complicated. You only need soy sauce, sake (or rice vinegar), brown sugar, and sometimes ginger.

All you have to do is put all the ingredients in a blender and then strain the resulting mixture. If you want it to be thicker, you can cook it for a few minutes to reduce it a bit.

We are sure that your dishes will be delicious with this sauce. Therefore, do not hesitate to get to work and add it to your recipes!
