Pomegranate And Strawberry Smoothie

Strawberry Pomegranate Smoothie Recipe

Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup of pomegranate juice (125 ml)
  • 2 teaspoons of honey (15 g)
  • ¾ cup of strawberries (175 g)
  • 2 tablespoons of skimmed plain yogurt (20 g)
  • 1 tablespoon of oil (10 ml)
  • 4 ice cubes

  • Squeezer
  • Spoon or spatula
  • Knife
  • Blender
  • Long glass for smoothies or shakes
  • Sorbet

Preparation

  • Beat the pomegranate juice and honey in a bowl until well combined. Cut the strawberries in half or in three parts and add to the preparation. Also add the yogurt, ice cubes and oil.
  • Pour everything into the blender glass and process for 1 to 2 minutes or until a thick and smooth cream is left. Pour into a tall glass and voila. Enjoy it!

Advice:

You can use flaxseed oil if you prefer. Greek yogurt also adds a different taste to the smoothie and helps you take care of your intestinal health. 

You can buy pomegranate juice already ready in a naturist house or if you have a juicer at home, do not hesitate to prepare it yourself by acquiring the fruits. Garnish with some mint leaves to give it a different flavor.

Another way to prepare the strawberry and pomegranate smoothie

  • Pomegranate juice (120 ml)
  • 1 cup of strawberries (200 g)
  • 1 cup ice cubes
  • The juice of a lemon

Preparation

  • Squeeze the pomegranate juice, if you haven’t bought it prepared. Pour into the blender glass. Remove the end of the strawberries and cut in half. Pour over the juice.
  • Squeeze the lemon and add as well. Lastly, add the ice cubes. Mix well until you have a smooth shake.

Advice:

If you do not want the shake to be so cold,  do not add the ice cubes until serving time as in any other drink. You can sweeten it with a teaspoon of honey or a little stevia (never with refined sugar).

You have the possibility to add other ingredients to change the recipe, according to your tastes or what you have available at home. For example, some mint or rosemary leaves to give a distinctive touch to your drink. Accompany with some whole wheat toast spread with skimmed white cheese and voila, you have your snack.
