5 Things Your Sweat Says About Your Health

Sweating can have many triggers and can sometimes be announcing a health problem, so we should not ignore situations that make us perspire

Who likes to have a sweaty face on summer mornings? To nobody. And in the case of men, do you like it when it looks like every white shirt is permanently discolored, but is actually sweat from the body? Sweat does not like anyone, but nevertheless, it is something normal in all humans.

When the body temperature rises, the nervous system gives the sweat glands green light and moisture appears on the skin. It’s the uncomfortable sweat.

We constantly fight against this situation. From wearing a scarf to wearing fragrance and deodorant, we always try to make the bad smell not perceived by others. However, even if you think you can stop the sweat, if you pay attention you will see that what you actually stop are the signals that perspiration wants to give us.

What does sweat mean?

If so, emotions are probably to blame for that unpleasant scent. The sweat that we produce when we are hot is made through the eccrine glands, located throughout the body, and contains mainly water and salt.

When you are stressed, sweat is produced by the apocrine glands. These are found only in certain areas, such as armpits .

This type of sweat contains fat and protein that mix with bacteria on the skin, producing an unpleasant odor in the process. . The same happens when you are anxious or scared.

3. You are spreading happiness or fear

Although it seems strange, the people around you can tell what you feel by the smell of sweat. In one experiment 36 women smelled the sweat samples of 12 men who had watched videos intended to scare or generate congratulations d ad .

When a woman smelled the sweat of a man who had been startled by the video, she was more likely to display a facial expression that resembled something akin to fear. When she smelled the sweat of a happy man, you would most likely see her smile.

4. You are at risk of heat stroke.

Has it happened to you that you go out for a walk and you don’t sweat? Some believe that this is a symbol of resistance. Although there is also some truth, you should be concerned if the weather is very hot and you don’t sweat at all and you start to feel dizzy. And is that sweat does not like anyone but its absence should be studied by a doctor.

This is called anhidrosis and it is the inability to sweat normally. It is a very dangerous condition. The absence of sweating prevents the body from cooling itself naturally.

If this is your problem, we recommend that you be careful in situations of excessive heat.  When you see that you are at risk, drink enough water to recover fluids. Also You should cover yourself from the sun, take a bath with lukewarm water, and limit your exposure to heat.

If you are away from home, go to a shady or air-conditioned place. If you don’t start to feel better, quickly call or seek emergency medical attention.

5. You have low blood sugar

When measuring glucose levels, these should be between 70 and 100 milligrams of glucose per deciliter of blood if you are fasting . If it falls below the 70 mark due to diabetes or excessive exercise, you will start to feel the effects.

One of the symptoms can be excessive sweating, especially at the back of the neck, at the hairline.

If your heartbeat has accelerated or you feel shaky, mild nausea, dizziness and blurred vision, you should be alert. Try to keep your glucose levels in the correct range.

As you can see, sweat generally does not like anyone, but it is a completely natural process of the body. However, we recommend that you pay special attention if sweating is excessive, or on the contrary, too little. Usually the excesses or the defects in the processes of the body can mean something more and should be observed by a doctor.
